Tyrrells crisps arrive on Australian soil… Hurrah!

Tyrrells crisps arrive on Australian soil… Hurrah!

As a PR Agency in the lifestyle space we get to work alongside a wide variety of fun and exciting brands and sometimes these brands are also delicious… Enter Tyrrells, the Hand Cooked English Potato Chips! Once upon a time in there was a potato farmer who lived in the English countryside – Herefordshire to be exact! After an extraordinarily hardy potato growing season he found himself with too many potatoes…. and what does one do with such an abundance of potatoes? Make crisps, by Jove, and this is exactly what he did! Today Tyrrells is one of the fastest growing premium crisp brands in the UK and they have packed their tartan bags and picnic rugs and headed down under to give Aussie’s the Tyrrells crisp-crunching experience. 360 Immerse attends PRIA forum on privacy laws

Last night 360 Immerse attended a PRIA event led by Director of Privacy Awareness, David Taylor. The forum, titled RCG Victoria: forum on the new privacy laws and how they impact agencies, highlighted that it’s now impossible to live without leaving fragments of personal information behind you. It stirred critical thought about why we are so obliging to release private information, even when we aren’t educated on how our personal information will be used. And that’s not to say that an outline of how our personal information will be used – generally in the form of Privacy Act – is not available to us. Instead very few people actually read the Privacy Acts available to us, when doing routine activities such as downloading new apps or...

As a PR Agency specialising in communication for start up businesses’ it’s a debate we often hear. You’re a start up; a new brand that’s trying to pave a way for yourself, make your mark in the big, competitive world… but with limited funds. One of the most challenging things when you’re a ‘new’ brand/ company/ organisation is establishing your voice to make sure that a) you’re heard and b) you stand out from the crowd. No one likes to blend in, not by choice anyway.       So when you roll the dice, where you do spend your precious pennies? PR is absolutely crucial for new brands and the entrepreneurs behind them. Why? Because ‘earned media’ or editorial coverage is the best way to create awareness and raise the profile of a business or...

Five things you didn’t know about: Erin I

This month it’s all about Erin I (or Erini as she is known around our office), which is perfect because it’s her Birthday on the 15th! She: – is addicted to coffee & peanut butter – has two very Hungarian grandparents… this explains the surname! – has seen the Lord of The Rings & the Hobbit way too many times – has been known to do crazy things such as Bikram Yoga 30 day challenges and that time she broke her hand going down a slip ‘n’ slide – has deceptively small feet and sometimes even buys kids runners (shh) @erinivanka

Public relations and social media – who does what?

Public relations and social media – who does what?

Public relations and social media, we believe, go together like a fish to water. Like ham with mustard. Like Brad and Ange. We know you’ve got it. To us, it’s a no-brainer. If you are an authentic, all-rounder, public relations specialist, then you should be able to write well, spell, have an excellent understanding of grammar and in essence to us, that makes you a great communicator. Social media is all about communication. We believe this means you should also once again be able to spell, write well… you get the gist. So, social media, especially the content, should involve good communicators. Don’t you think? This seems to be the opinion of many of our fabulous clients too. We love being able to communicate on behalf of our clients as...
